Super Monaco GP is a 1989 arcade racing game developed by Sega. Unlike its predecessor Monaco GP, it is played from a first-person perspective and offers a more arcade-style Formula 1 experience. Players race against other cars on various tracks aiming for first place. The game has no official licenses from manufacturers or drivers but draws inspiration from late-1980s F1, featuring fictional engines like the “Sega SG1000 V8.”
Tracks are original but include elements inspired by famous F1 circuits. The arcade style makes physics more forgiving and rules more relaxed. Flicky the bird makes a cameo at the end of races. Tracks include San Marino, Brazil, France, Hungary, and Monaco.
