Olympic Gold is the official video game of the XXV Olympic Games, held in Barcelona, Spain in 1992, and was released the same year. The game is mainly based on button-mashing, though in three events it isn’t used (archery, diving) or is slower-paced (swimming). Each computer athlete has a fictional name and nationality (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, USA, Japan, and the Unified Team), with their own strengths and weaknesses. Some countries excel in specific events, e.g., Germans in archery, Italians in swimming, Russians in pole vault, and Americans in sprinting.

The game offers practice, mini-Olympics, or full Olympics with three difficulty levels (club, national, and Olympic). Scoring follows a position table, with gold giving 24 points and last place 13 points. Jumping and pole vault require precision, but with practice high scores are possible. Diving and pole vault give full player control, allowing top marks and record-breaking performance.

Box and cover are worn and discolored.
